Manganese ore processing method
1. Beneficiation method and process of manganese carbonate ore
The main minerals in the manganese carbonate ore are rhodochrosite, calcium rhodochrosite, manganese calcite, and rhodochrosite; gangue minerals include silicate and carbonate minerals, and are often accompanied by impurities such as sulfur and iron. The composition of the ore is relatively complex, and the particle size of the manganese mineral inlay is as small as a few microns, which is not easy to dissociate and it is difficult to obtain a higher grade of concentrate.
Most of the beneficiation methods of manganese carbonate ore use strong magnetic separation, heavy medium beneficiation and flotation. Sedimentary manganese sulfate-bearing ores generally adopt the sequence priority flotation process of carbonaceous shale, pyrite and manganese minerals. Hydrothermal lead-bearing zinc-carbon-manganese ore generally adopts flotation-strong magnetic separation process. For some sulfur-rich manganese-rich ores, the manganese minerals are mainly sulfur-manganese ores, which are generally removed by roasting. Some manganese carbonate-rich ores are also produced by roasting to remove volatile components to obtain finished ores.
Manganese carbonate ore contains some refractory ores, manganese and iron, phosphorus or gangue are closely coexisting, and the size of the embedded cloth is very fine, which is difficult to separate. You can consider smelting. For example, the manganese-rich slag method for processing high-phosphorus and high-iron manganese ore, the nitric acid leaching method for producing active manganese dioxide, and the electrolytic method for producing manganese metal have all been used in industrial production. In addition, there are the calcium disulfate method and the bacterial leaching method.
2. Beneficiation method and technological process of manganese oxide ore
The manganese minerals in the manganese oxide ore are mainly manganese ore, pyrolusite and hydromanganese ore. The gangue minerals are mainly silicate minerals and carbonate minerals, often accompanied by iron, phosphorus and nickel, cobalt and other components. The beneficiation method of manganese oxide ore is mainly re-election. Weathered manganese oxide ore often contains a large amount of slime and fine ore, and the method of washing ore-selection is used in production. The net ore from the original ore after washing and removing the slime may be used as finished ore, and some need to be re-selected using jigs and shakers. Ore washing overflow sometimes needs to be further recovered by methods such as gravity separation or strong magnetic separation. Some of the deposited primary manganese oxide ore, due to the depletion of mining, uses heavy media and jig to remove gangues in the production to obtain massive concentrates.
Among iron-bearing manganese oxide ores, the iron minerals are mainly limonite. It is difficult to separate iron and manganese by gravity separation, flotation or strong magnetic separation, and the reduction roasting magnetic separation method is required. Industry has adopted the ore washing-reduction roasting magnetic separation-re-selection process.
