Gravity separation is a mineral processing technology for gold ore that utilizes the density differences between different mineral particles in gold ore.It achieves the stratification and separation of mineral particles according to density under the influence of gravity, hydrodynamics, and other mechanical forces. The most commonly used gravity separation methods for gold ore are jig machine, shaking table, and spiral chute machine.

The general steps of gravity separation for gold ore beneficiation are as follows:

1. Sample the mined gold ore and determine the gold content and the types and contents of associated minerals through chemical analysis.

2. The analysis results will guide the subsequent beneficiation methods and the selection of gold ore beneficiation equipment.

3. Use equipment such as jaw crushers, cone crushers, or impact crushers to crush large pieces of gold ore into smaller particles.

4. Screen the crushed ore using equipment such as vibrating screens to remove unqualified particles, preparing for grinding operations.

5. Use equipment such as ball mills or rod mills to further grind the crushed ore to a suitable fineness.

6. Classify the ground slurry using classification equipment (such as spiral classifiers, hydrocyclones, etc.) to separate coarse and fine particles.

7. Gold ore beneficiation operations mainly include gravity separation, flotation, cyanidation, and other methods. The choice of method or combination of methods depends on the ore properties and beneficiation requirements. 8. Dewater the beneficiated concentrate using equipment such as thickeners and filters.

9. Dry the dewatered concentrate using drying equipment to obtain the final gold concentrate product.

10. Treat the wastewater generated during the beneficiation process to remove harmful substances and ensure it meets discharge standards.

11. Properly dispose of the tailings generated after beneficiation, such as by constructing tailings ponds for storage and carrying out ecological restoration.
